Byte Hamr Labs is the name I put on the stuff I build. Some of it is hardware: a CPU out of 74-series chips, an FPGA card for the Apple IIe, old machines brought back to life. Some of it is software that grew up next to the hardware: native tools for bench gear, cores rebuilt from datasheets, whatever glue the week needed. Byte Hamr, the ECP5 card, is just one of the projects.

How the site works: every project has a page that says what it is and where it stands right now. Under each one are dated build logs. A log is what I tried, what I measured, what broke, and what’s next. When I learn something later that changes an old entry, I fix the entry; git keeps the old version.
